When you book my services to create your website, I will use Squarespace as the platform to build your new website.

+ I don't want anything too fancy

Presentation matters and will continue to matter in the online space. A modern website needs to have a simple, beautiful interface that is easy to use and gorgeous to look at, whether you are just starting out or have scaled your business to heights you never dreamed. Squarespace sites are designed to be easy to customize so I can create something that is true to your brand.

+ How do I know if have the right content for my site?

Having the right branding, imagery and copy are prerequisites to creating a website. I help you make it easy to collect and create the best assets possible by giving you my step-by-step design process and the exact assets needed before we begin the project. You'll know exactly what I need from you before we even get started and you'll have the road map follow so nothing gets overlooked.

+ I don't want my website to look like a template

While it is true that Squarespace has a tightly curated library of templates to work with, the templates are there to act as a jumping-off point. Someone with experience can make a Squarespace site customized perfectly for you.

+ How much does Squarespace cost?

Most of the time the $12/month plan will serve perfectly, plus if you purchase the yearly plan, your domain is included for FREE. Clients of The Leap Creative also get 20% off their Squarespace yearly plan cause I'm a Squarespace Circle member!

+ Aren't there free options?

Things are rarely as free as they first appear. Once you add in costs for hosting, domains, themes, apps, plugins, custom domains, and removing third-party ads, you’re looking at a price significantly higher than “free.” An advantage to using Squarespace is the ability to package domains, hosting, customer support, and continued improvements into a single monthly or annual payment. When we start a new project, as my client, you are are entitled to the lowest price published on our Pricing page during the 30 days prior to the start of the trial. Plus as I am a Squarespace Circle Member, your site will be 20% off!

+ Can I keep my current domain name?

You bet! It is super simple to point your new Squarespace site to any of your domains. Added bonus, if you don't have your own domain and purchase the yearly plan - your domain is included FREE!

+ Can I preserve my SEO?

If you have strong search rankings for key pages or blog posts that you would like to preserve, know that switching platforms may cause a temporary dip in established search ranking, but with Squarespace that dip can be significantly reduced. First, importing blog content, which is often a major contributor to SEO rankings, is a one-step process. Second, it’s easy to customize URLs so inbound links will continue to work. Third, redirects of pages that do not get migrated over are simple to implement and will preserve the SEO value of those pages.

+ Can I track metrics?

Google Analytics tracking can easily be added to your website. Also the Squarespace Metrics App lets you use any mobile device to access page views, visitor stats, and track social media.

+ What if I want to leave Squarespace?

If for some reason you want to move your website to another platform down the line, Squarespace lets you export content quickly and easily. Read more about that here.

+ Is there anything that Squarespace doesn't do?

While Squarespace is powerful, there are times that it isn't the best fit. Squarespace currently does not support: • Recurring payments • Member Logins • Anything that would necessitate integrating with a third-party API

+ Can't I just have a Facebook page?

Well if you enjoy not having control over your platform. Remember when Facebook (or Instagram for that matter) changed its algorithm and everybody lost their minds? Businesses lost out on huge amounts of revenue because their entire business model was built around someone else's platform. NUTS. Don't let the whims of a huge corporation be the life or death of your business.

+ How much do I pay when I book your services?

50% of your chosen package price is due at booking; this saves your spot in my workflow. Then you will pay the remaining 25% after the first draft is delivered and 25% when I hand over the ownership of the site and assets.

+ What happens after I book your services?

You'll receive an email with a welcome package from The Leap Creative showing you the entire design process, a checklist of all the assets you'll need to provide for your new website or brand, how to prep your content, and a quick questionnaire that will help us nail down your goals for the project. I will also follow up by email with a contract for you to sign. Once the contract is signed we can begin work!
